Madina (or Dina to her family and friends) was born in Guinea and grew up in Gabon. She is currently working for Ecobank in Guinea, an organization she joined in 2014 as an intern in the Internal Control department and later became a senior credit control officer. Madina is a 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow, and part of the YALI program. She is passionate about youth education and women empowerment; she enjoys travelling, reading, cinema and running social impact activities. “Success never comes by replacing laziness with prayer” is a quote that inspires her.
With a background in global supply chain and operations management, Salifou was most recently the logistics operations manager at Eastman Chemical, a fortune 50 chemical company, charged with improving processes and aligning logistics solutions to manufacturing operations. An avid enthusiast of collaboration, Salifou is always seeking out dynamic partnerships to move the needle and remove barriers. With Guinea Promise, Salifou is on a quest to create lasting solutions for Africa’s greatest challenges by enabling opportunities for Guinea’s youth.
Salifou holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Vlerick Business School in Belgium and has lived, worked, studied and travelled in 5 continents. As a lifelong learner, when he isn’t working, Salifou explores the wonders of this world with his wife and their three daughters.
IBé lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He came to the U.S. in 1991 after living most of his life between Sierra Leone and Guinea. A graduate of St. Cloud State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, IBé is currently an Information Technology consultant for PowerObjects. In his role as project manager, he has managed Microsoft Dynamics implementation projects for small and large organizations mostly in the retail and financial industry. IBé is passionate about education and the role of Africa in the world. He enjoys traveling, writing poetry and playing basketball with his son, whose sole goal in life at the moment is to be taller than his dad.
Husband, father and International Business enthusiast, Mory is a native of Guinea, Conakry where he was born and raised.He immigrated to the U.S. in 2003 where he obtained a bachelor degree in Economics with a minor in Political Science from St Cloud State University in 2009. After a couple of years of professional experience, he enrolled in business school and obtained his Master in International Business From Georgia State University in 2014. Mory’s most recent professional experience includes a position with the French Consulate in Atlanta where he worked as an international Trade Advisor for French companies doing business in the U.S. & Canada. He is currently in the financial industry with AGCO Finance. Mory is a firm believer in education and in empowerment.
Born in Guinea, and moving to the U.S in 2014, Bobo is co-founder of Guru Software, and a board member at Magic Guinea. He has a graduate degree in mathematics from Mohammed V in Morocco where he also earned his Master’s degree in Computer Science. Known for having what has been referred to as a “voracious curiosity,” Bobo Diallo currently works at Google as a software engineer. His recently found interest in woodworking and metal machining, although seemingly random is actually not.
On his free time, Bobo works on projects to support Guinea’s youth in their quest for development. He is intrigued by how technology is able to improve our lives and his great passion is to inspire young Africans to embrace technology as a mean to change the world.
